Agapito loves people, and his irresistible sense of humor is something that my class looks forward to every day. A twenty-year-old graduate from Birdville ISD in Haltom City, Texas, Agapito has learned much to further his independence as an adult. Agapito enjoys listening to Bon Jovi, reading stories, preparing his own breakfast, and generally rocking out!
This year he enjoyed marching and dancing during White Cane Day, making cookie mix and kale chips to sell at the farmer’s market, experiencing hands-on science lessons, going on community-based instruction with his classmates, and riding bikes on TSBVI campus.
In a video he made to open his annual ARD this year, he said, “After I graduate from TSBVI, I will work a job that does not require sight and I will receive a paycheck.” Our team would like to say “Congratulations, Agapito! You are the best student, which no one can deny!”
